A Tribute.....

Only words would not be enough to express my devotion,
To them, whom I credit for giving me a strong foundation.

So I bow in respect, if not words are worth a tribute,
A salute would surely convey my deep-rooted gratitude.

I acknowledge that they are the one who taught me to think,
And stopped me from flying too high when I could have burnt my wings.

They are the one who showed me the righ path to follow,
And filled my life with goodness which is otherwise hollow.

They have enlightened my life with knowledge and understanding,
Their concern is reflected in their beating and scolding.

Their incompatible efforts, to send us to the heights of success,
And to fill our life with various colours of happiness.

Are unforgettable and are kept in my heart as they have no substitute,
So I would like to thank them, for all that they did for me, to my life they contribute.
